Our annual pet parade and costume contest is great fun for the whole family. You and your furry friend are invited to dress up (or just come as your are), walk in Magnolia's SummerFest Parade with the gang from PJ's Paws and Claws and help raise money for the Seattle Animal Shelter's Help the Animals Fund. Participants are invited to PJ's post-parade party for refreshments, prizes and fun.
What is the Help the Animals Fund?
The Help the Animals Fund was established in 1977 by the Seattle Animal Shelter to receive gifts and donations for the purpose of promoting animal welfare. Contributions are used for such activities as developing public education videos or advertisements that promote responsible pet ownership, purchasing toys and treats for animals at the shelter, providing animal carriers for low income or elderly persons, providing extra ordinary veterinary care for animals that have been subject to cruelty and to pay for extensive medical care associated with rehabilitating sick and injured animals through the shelter's Foster Care Program. For more information, visit the Seattle Animal Shelter's website.
